Privacy Policy

Content

This Privacy Policy applies to VEDDER GmbH and refers to the website www.vedder.net. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and strictly adhere to the rules of the applicable data protection laws. Without your explicit consent, personal data is only collected to the extent as may be technically necessary or to maintain and improve our web presence and such data is never sold or forwarded to third parties outside our company or to one of our service providers for any reason.
The following explanation provides you with an overview of how we ensure this protection and which kind of data for which purpose is collected, processed, used and forwarded, where appropriate.

Data processing on this website

Your visit to our web pages is recorded. Basically, this concerns the following data which your browser transmits to us:

  • the IP address which your PC currently uses
  • the date and time of the access
  • the browser type and version
  • the operating system of your PC
  • the pages you viewed
  • the name and size of the retrieved file(s)
  • as well as the URL of the referring website (referrer URL), where applicable.

Normally, the data cannot be attributed to an individual and this is not our intention, either.
The data is only collected for data protection purposes, optimising our web offer as well as error analysis. Any other evaluation of the data, except for statistical purposes in anonymous form, does not take place. Neither are any personal internet surfing profiles or similar created or processed.

Contact data

Furthermore, personal data will only be stored, if you provide us with such data yourself in our contact form or otherwise by email for contacting us. The purpose for the collection then results from the context of the contact form and the content of the sent notice, so that basically you define it yourself.

This personal data which you communicate to us via our email contact form or by email to one of our contact addresses or by mail (e. g. your name, company, telephone details, or email address) will only be processed for the communication with you and only for the purpose for which you have made it available to us. Of course, you are entitled to object to this use of your data at any time (cf. further below). This also applies to applications which you have sent us via the contact form on our website or otherwise.

The information collected on this website remains in our company for the evaluation and will be forwarded to the competent employees. Apart from that, we assure you that we will not forward your personal data to third parties, unless we are legally obliged to do so or you have given us your consent beforehand.

To the extent that we employ service providers for the performance and handling of data processing, the contractual relationships shall be regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act. In particular, we ensure that in this event the third parties are committed to the data confidentiality and that, in addition, all ten points from Article 32 GDPR are contractually regulated.

Log files are normally only evaluated by the administrator for troubleshooting and error analysis and deleted after six months, at the latest.

Right of information

If you have provided us with personal data and no longer agree with the storage of your data or if the data has become incorrect, we shall, on receipt of your instruction to this effect, arrange for the deletion or blocking of your data or perform the necessary corrections (as far as this is possible based on applicable law). You have the right to data portability and, on request, you will receive information free of charge about all personal data which we have stored about you; sending an informal notification to us or our data protection officer Mr Jörg Hoffmann (see below) shall suffice for this purpose.
Furthermore, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority if you believe, for example, that we are processing your personal data in an unlawful manner. Name, address and contact details can be found under the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Home/home_node.html

Stroage of provided data

Otherwise, personal data which you have sent us through our website is only stored until the purpose for which it was entrusted to us has been fulfilled. Subsequently, such data will be deleted or at least blocked so that its continued use is no longer possible. As far as retention periods relating to commercial or tax law must be observed, the storage period for particular data can be up to 11 years.
